Update X-Crash 8.7: Euro NCAP 2026 and simplified access to X-Veracity evaluation center

(Moenchengladbach, September 11, 2025) Version 8.7 of the X-Crash evaluation software for passive vehicle safety offers significant new features: The software update now supports the stricter test regulations according to Euro NCAP 2026. In addition, a new interface simplifies interaction with the web-based X-Veracity evaluation center.

The X-Crash software from measX specializes in the evaluation of passive safety systems in accordance with international regulations. The latest program update, X-Crash 8.7, includes the new, significantly stricter Euro NCAP protocols for safety assessment in 2026.

Euro NCAP 2026 requires numerous additional tests, not only for impact protection, with the aim of further improving the protection of occupants and vulnerable road users. The updated test requirements for frontal and side impacts, low-speed collisions, and vulnerable road users (VRU) are fully integrated into the X-Crash 8.7 evaluation library.

From 2026, the assessment program for new vehicles will pursue a more holistic safety strategy with stricter test requirements in four areas: driver monitoring, driver assistance systems, crash protection in the event of an accident, and post-crash safety.

Another highlight in X-Crash 8.7 is the new function for direct interaction with the X-Veracity evaluation platform. Without any further input, users can automatically upload their test data to
X-Veracity and start the centralized X-Crash evaluation there.

X-Crash is internationally established and has been the reference software of Euro NCAP for passive vehicle safety since 2011. Since 2022, measX has been offering a central evaluation solution with X-Veracity. The product bundles the functionalities of X-Crash and makes them available via a web application. Euro NCAP and all accredited laboratories also use X-Veracity for test evaluation.

In addition to the Euro NCAP 2026 assessment regulations, the evaluation specialists integrated many other new and updated international regulations into X-Crash version 8.7.
