Driver update: DASYLab SPS Edition supports the latest TIA Portal
Extension for TIA version 19 and current firmware possible for DASYLab SPS versions.
(Moenchengladbach, Aug. 07,2024) An update for the S7 driver of the DASYLab SPS Edition diagnostic software is now available. New driver modules enable direct access to TIA Portal version 19 and support the latest firmware for Siemens controllers.
The DASYLab SPS Edition software distributed by SL-automation specialises in the analysis and fault diagnosis of PLC systems. The S7 driver has been updated for the TIA portfolio from Siemens. Users of the new version 3.0.1.0 can now also access all projects and controllers created in TIA Portal V19 online in the usual way. Secure connections with and without certificates have been integrated for PG/PC and HMI communication. This means that the PLC edition fully supports the security requirements of TIA Portal V19.
The updated S7 driver modules of the DASYLab SPS edition support the latest device software and therefore all S7-1500 CPUs with firmware 3.1.0 and all S7-1200 CPUs with firmware 4.6.1. As part of the update, read and write access to the controllers has also been optimised and other minor improvements have been made.
Free update in the maintenance package
In order to make the extended application options widely available, the S7 modules can also be updated as part of a programme update of the DASYLab SPS Edition. Users of the active maintenance package receive the update free of charge.

As I was able to gather from conversations with Mr Helldörfer, support for further programmable controllers is already planned," says Thomas Irmen, who coordinates DASYLab development at measX together with Digilent.
With the DASYLab SPS Edition, S7 projects created in TIA Portal V19 can now also be analysed.
The DASYLab SPS edition is based on the DASYLab measurement technology software. With DASYLab, users can solve control, regulation and simple automation tasks directly graphically and interactively on the PC without in-depth programming knowledge. The SPS edition offers special hardware drivers and function modules for analysing PLC systems during commissioning and maintenance.
