X-Crash, measX's standard software for crash analysis, has again been extended with the current release by test evaluations according to international regulations. Already existing routines were adapted to updated requirements and supplemented by further requirements according to international regulations.

There have been updates for standard tests of the Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme), among others, including for the frontal crash test MPDB (Mobile Progressive Deformable Barrier), which will be part of the Euro NCAP safety rating from 2020. In contrast to the classic frontal crash, this test is not just about occupant protection. The deformation of the honeycomb element on the barrier car and thus indirectly the influence on the accident partner is also evaluated.

For the MPDB test, the new crash test dummy THOR is mandatory. As the successor to Hybrid III, THOR has more extensive sensor technology and much better biomechanical properties. X-Crash takes this into account and offers users extended evaluation reports. With version 7.1, the MPDB evaluation has received latest updates for Euro NCAP 2020.

Also new in the release: Additional standard tests for Korean NCAP, Australasian NCAP and C-IASI. Evaluation packages for China NCAP, IIHS, ECE and FMVSS have been extended by test specifications.
