The Initial Situation

© EverllenceEverllence, headquartered in Augsburg, is a global leader in large diesel and gas engines. A key focus is on room-sized four-stroke engines for marine propulsion and stationary power generation, which are produced at the main plant and in branches worldwide. During the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), measurement data had previously been processed into reports on an individuel basis. Different evaluation tools made collaboration across departments and locations difficult.

The Task

Everllence was looking for a new, high-performance, and standardized evaluation solution for the acceptance test that could reliably handle the large data volumes of around 100 GB per test. The system was to adopt existing calculations and report structures, be easy to maintain, and be flexibly expandable.

The Solution

The measX test data management system offers sophisticated data management with centralized data storage, server-based reporting, and a web application as the user interface. Measurement data is evaluated centrally by the TDM server using the X-Frame analysis software: As soon as a new measurement is available, the system automatically runs the appropriate standard analysis. The web-based dashboard enables flexible access to measurement data, calculations, and reports. Everllence can define calculation templates for the X-Frame evaluation itself and adapt them at any time as needed.

In Practical Use

Everllence uses this solution on all four-stroke engine test benches worldwide. The calculation functions and report templates originate from Augsburg and are subject to central version control. The test data management system ensures reliable FAT reports according to uniform standards. It guarantees maximum transparency, clear traceability, performance with large data volumes, and easy scalability. Thanks to the high level of security, Everllence can always demonstrate to the customer that the engine was tested in accordance with standards and that the data quality is correct.
