X-Crash 8.8: Full support for ANCAP 2026 and Euro NCAP 2026 including evaluation spreadsheet
(Moenchengladbach, December 16, 2025) The new X-Crash version 8.8 enables the evaluation of physical and virtual tests according to Euro NCAP 2026 and ANCAP 2026 and integrates the new Euro NCAP spreadsheet for the overall assessment.
The X-Crash evaluation software from measX is ready for the new safety requirements of the international crash test programs. With version 8.8, X-Crash now fully supports the revised Euro NCAP 2026 and Australasian NCAP (ANCAP) 2026 assessment guidelines – including all required sled and simulated tests. The new Euro NCAP spreadsheet 2026 is now also seamlessly integrated.
"We are doing everything we can to ensure that vehicle manufacturers and crash laboratories can meet the upcoming demands of Euro NCAP and ANCAP with our tools easily," says Klaas Ebel, Head of the Vehicle Safety Department at measX. "X-Crash reliably evaluates physical, virtual, and sled tests. Users can generate the spreadsheet with the summary evaluation of the individual tests directly from the program as usual. Initial feedback from the field has been very positive," reports Klaas Ebel.

With the update, measX is responding to the comprehensive changes to the passenger protection programs of Euro NCAP and ANCAP. From 2026, additional sled tests and virtual tests will be mandatory for the assessment of frontal and side impact protection. In addition, a new tool for the assessment spreadsheet has been introduced, which is now seamlessly integrated into X-Crash and ensures a continuous workflow.
In parallel with the adjustments for Euro NCAP 2026 and ANCAP 2026, X-Crash 8.8 expands its range of functions to include further international regulations. New additions include the rear impact for JNCAP 2024 and tests for pedestrian protection in accordance with Taiwan NCAP 2022 and 2023.
X-Crash is recognized worldwide as the leading software solution for the standard-compliant evaluation of crash, sled and simulation tests. Vehicle manufacturers and test laboratories use it for the automated assessment of the passive vehicle safety of complete vehicles and components in accordance with current international regulations.
The revised and much more demanding rating systems of Euro NCAP and ANCAP will apply from 2026. The safety test is carried out in four areas: safe driving, accident avoidance, impact protection and safety after the accident.
