First Update for DASYLab 2026 – Update Campaign Begins
Just last June, measX announced the launch of DASYLab 2026—the first version of the well-established measurement software to be developed, distributed, and supported entirely by measX. Build 78 is now the first update that consistently continues the software’s development under its new provider.
What´s new in Build 78?
- Greater Security: Python scripts and add-on modules now run only after explicit approval—following the proven model familiar from Office macros. This ensures that external code in the schematic is always under control.
- Consistent Screen Scaling: DASYLab now consistently follows Windows scaling (125/150/200%)—even during operation and when working with monitors set to different scales.
- Measurement and operation run separately: Measurement data is transmitted independently of the user interface—menus, dialogs, and moving windows no longer slow down the panel’s execution. The process timer resolution is now 1 ms instead of the previous 15 ms.
- Display modules: flicker-free, smoother, and faster: Y/t display, X/Y display, polar plot, line recorder, and the instruments use new technology—without flickering, with smoothed scales, and with significantly less computational load.
- Filters and windows with live preview: Frequency response, window functions, and filter design can be viewed live as you adjust them—including new bandpass and bandstop filter types for Butterworth, Bessel, and Chebyshev.
- Updated Python environment: The integrated Python environment for creating custom function modules has been updated to version 3.12.
- Updated drivers and modules: A fundamentally redesigned NI DAQmx driver, updated CAN driver APIs, and enhanced demultiplexing of SmartMux channels.
